Even more annoying....
Apparently VMware Workstation 10 does support adding additional hard disks to a linked clone.
So Fusion 6 is again not feature compatible with Workstation 10.
This is ridiculous. 
Another case to switch to Parallels or Virtual Box. Both of which support this.
